Lots of government agencies make the mistake of never getting around to writing an official social networking strategy. So, I'm going to walk you through how to compose social media strategy which includes your agency's high-level priorities. Please don't skip this step. Composing a social networking strategy could be intimidating, so here's where to get started. Step one would be to recognize high-level priorities. The first question to ask is, what is your agency's purpose or the whole heritage principles for your own agency? You can get this on your agency's mission and vision statements. Also, budget planning documents are also fantastic place to search for agency priorities. Oftentimes, every department must identify their short and long-term goals as part of annual business planning. Your agency's high-level priorities might look something like this.
